Milos landscapes IV - Milos

Here’s a set of four images from the volcanic rock formations at Sarakiniko, Milos. All of them are in black-and-white, as I originally envisioned most of the images from this area. Trying to emphasize the organic forms of the rocks and the otherwordly feelingĀ (a sense of mystery, maybe?) of the area. I’ve also included a composite of all four images together.

Stone wall - Andros

Two more images from Andros, the first one from the small creek at Dipotamata, in the Korthi region, and another one from the coastline in Korthi (you can tell it’s my favorite region in Andros!).

A couple of weeks ago I visited the volcanic island of Milos, part of the Cyclades complex of islands in the middle of the Aegean sea. This is a small, but beautiful island formed by volcanoes and full of colorful volcanic rocks and formations. A good page to find more about the volcanic rocks at Milos is this one.
