EXTRACTS
This gallery shares photos with the Rockscapes gallery. It includes close-ups and some images that could also be referred to as abstracts. I wanted to call this gallery Extracts, a term that Ansel Adams used describing one of his most famous images, “Frozen lake and cliffs” in his seminal book “Examples, The making of 40 photographs”. In my mind the word Extracts better stands for both the process and the result of a photographic composition as it applies to close-up photography.
